For grown-ups
Why we wonder “why?”
After a little one can name a feeling, the next step is linking it to what happened — young children can already connect a feeling to the situation that caused it. WhyTots gives you the wonder: Bindi has a feeling, you guess why together (no wrong answers), then reveal some everyday becauses, and finally find the because in your child’s own day — and share yours. Understanding the because is what helps a feeling make sense.
Situations, not faces
WhyTots never asks a child to “read” a cartoon face. The picture-word gives your child something to point at, and every because is an everyday situation — a shared toy, a goodbye, a big loud noise, a hard thing they finished. Feelings live in what happens, and 🔊 reads any wonder aloud.
A deck, not a diary
This is the one promise that makes WhyTots different: it is a wonder deck, not a mood log. Your child’s feelings are never saved — not on the device, not anywhere. There is no “how do you feel today?” check-in that gets stored, no history, no diary. The feeling that shows up simply changes with the day. There is no microphone and no camera. Nothing you tap or say ever leaves this device.
When a feeling stays big
WhyTots helps a family wonder about feelings together; it is not therapy and does not measure anyone. If a feeling stays big or heavy for a while, the strongest move is a real one: talk with another trusted grown-up, or a family doctor. A daily wonder is a spark; a caring adult is the anvil.
Our privacy promise
WhyTots Play is free, works offline, and collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no microphone, no camera; nothing you or your child feels or taps ever leaves this device. There is nothing to save, and so nothing is saved.
