InkPals

Good handwriting is mostly two habits: start in the right place, and go the right way. InkPals teaches letters one stroke at a time — a green dot shows where to start, an arrow shows which way to go, and you trace the dotted line with a finger, a stylus, or a mouse. Each stroke is checked for its start and direction, never for neatness, and if dragging is hard you can tap numbered dots instead. Nothing is saved as a picture. On-device, no account. Ages 6-8.

Distributed-narrative cast

Meet the cast

InkPals' ink friends each embody one habit of FLUENT HANDWRITING - the crew IS the instruction (ages 6-8). Startdot waits at the start: every stroke begins on the green dot. Arrowby points the way. Curlee curves c, o, a and d the same way round. Mentor Inkwell asks "where do we start?" before every letter. Strokes are checked for start and direction, never neatness, and never saved as a picture.

S

Startdot

Waits at the start — every stroke begins on the green dot.

A

Arrowby

Points the way: down, round to the left, across.

C

Curlee

Curves c, o, a and d the same way round.

I

Inkwell

(mentor) — asks “where do we start?” before every letter.
