👥 Pass-and-play availableMeet your mentor
Every Spark & Anvil app has a friendly mentor character that demonstrates, asks, and patiently scaffolds learning. On-device AI personalizes the mentor's responses to your kid's progress — never connecting to a server, never collecting data.

#9C5DC4 Characters who teach
Meet the cast
WitQuest's characters each teach one kind of wordplay or comedy. Quirk makes puns, Knot solves riddles, Switch rearranges letters into new words, Lilt explains idioms, and Hop finds an unexpected angle. Trip, Dry, Boomerang, Topper, and Straight cover the rule of three, deadpan delivery, callbacks, topping a joke, and the setup person who makes the joke land. Mirth is the mentor who guides them.

Knot
Riddles (compressed-info puzzles where you decode the answer from constrained clues)

Switch
Anagrams (rearranging letters to form a different word — "listen" → "silent")
Read chapter →
Lilt
Idioms and figurative language (phrases whose literal meaning ≠ their actual meaning — "raining cats and dogs")
Read chapter →
Hop
Lateral thinking (finding a non-obvious angle on a problem; sidestepping the assumed framing)
Read chapter →
Trip
The rule of three (two beats set a pattern; the third breaks it — the break is the laugh)
Read chapter →
Dry
Deadpan delivery (saying something ridiculous with a calm, serious face — the flat delivery is the joke)
Read chapter →
Boomerang
The callback (bringing back an earlier joke later, when it's half-forgotten — funnier the second time)
Read chapter →
Topper
The topper / escalation (capping a joke with an even bigger one, raising the stakes each time)
Read chapter →
Straight
The straight man / the setup (reacting normally so the absurdity stands out — comedy needs someone to be normal)

How WitQuest handles your kid's data
- ✅ All progress, settings, and AI-generated content stays on the device
- ✅ No analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs
- ✅ Free — no ads, no in-app purchases
- ✅ No personal information collected from children — in line with COPPA (updated by the 2026 FTC amendments)
- ✅ No chat with strangers — play-together rooms use a short code and preset emotes, never typed messages
WitQuest runs on ForgeKit — the open-source Swift Package Manager framework that powers every Spark & Anvil app. ForgeKit ensures consistent accessibility, COPPA compliance, and design language across the portfolio, so your kid's progress and preferences feel coherent across every app they touch.
