For grown-ups
CallerTots gives the youngest person at the table the most important job. One device faces the caller only. It shows one big picture and goes dark; the child calls it out however they can, and everyone covers that picture on their own board.
The boards are tiered so one call works for everyone: a picture board for little ones, a board with the printed word for early readers, a board with the word in your family's other language, and a grown-up board with half a saying to finish together when a row is full.
Print the boards, or draw a 3 by 3 grid of pictures by hand. Use dried beans or buttons as markers.
A deck is a small file your family keeps. A grown-up can record the words in their own voice; the recording stays on this device and never leaves it.
There is no score and no loser; a full row means everyone says the saying together.
We describe what CallerTots is designed to practise. We do not claim it raises test scores.
What it never does
- No accounts, no ads, no tracking — anything kept stays on this device.
- No streaks, timers to beat, points to chase or leaderboards.
- No chat, and nothing anyone types is sent anywhere.
