About CluePals

CluePals takes the idea at the heart of clue-giving games — a word can be found from what it means — and makes it a picture game a six-year-old can play. Three clues point to one mystery word, and the child reasons out which one.

Meaning first

Word games are usually about spelling. CluePals is about meaning: milk, cheese, and grass point to a cow because of what those things are, not how they're spelled. Every clue and answer comes with a picture and is spoken aloud, so a still-learning reader can play by listening and looking.

What it's good for (and what we don't claim)

CluePals is gentle practice for vocabulary and reasoning from clues. It is not a reading program or a brain-training app, and we make no claim it raises IQ or test scores — it's a friendly thinking game.
