Playing CrossTots together ❎
CrossTots is a first crossing game for ages 3–5. It teaches one big idea: a single letter can belong to two words at once — the very first step toward crosswords and word games, long before a child is ready to spell.
1 · Hear the two words
Each puzzle shows two pictures. Tap a picture, or tap 🔊 Hear the words, and the app says both words aloud. There's no reading required — the pictures and the sounds do the work.
2 · Find the letter that finishes both
The two words cross where they share a letter, and that one spot is left blank. Tap the letter that finishes both words. If it's not quite right, nothing bad happens — you'll hear the words again and can try another letter.
3 · Play side by side
This works beautifully as a lap game: say the words together, point at the pictures, and let your child tap. There's no timer, no score, and nothing to lose — just friendly little crossings to discover, one pair at a time.
