Heads up: this browser isn't saving anything for this site, so progress and settings reset when you leave the page. Everything still works while you're here.
CuriosityQuest on the web is built the same way as our iOS apps: private by design.
Your work stays on this device
Your progress — best scores, XP and days active — is stored only in this browser (on-device storage). It is never sent anywhere. Clear your browser data and it's gone; nobody else can see it.
The labs run right here
There are six labs, and each is pure on-device logic:
Water Cycle — the water cycle always runs in the same order.
Food Web — energy flows along fixed links.
Logic — a logic gate follows its truth table.
Buoyancy — sink or float comes from density, not weight.
Matter — a substance changes state at its real melting and boiling points.
Electric Circuit — a bulb lights only when the loop is complete.
There is also Decay It 100 Times, which runs a chance experiment many times. There's no server, no simulator in the cloud, and no AI that sees what you do. You predict first, then the lab shows you what really happens.
The labs are practice in predicting and reasoning. They are simplified models, they don't prove that anyone learns more, and they don't replace a teacher or a real experiment.
No accounts, no ads, no tracking
There is no sign-up and no login. There are no ads and no in-app purchases. There are no third-party trackers embedded in the app.
Built for ages 9–14
The 400 concept questions come straight from the CuriosityQuest iOS project and are aligned to NGSS science standards. A hint appears only after a first try — you think it through first, and mistakes are treated as part of learning. You can also play a Science Duel with friends, taking turns on one device or online with a room code. The iOS app has features that need a phone — a Socratic AI tutor, voice input and a camera "photograph your textbook" tool — that stay on iOS; the web version focuses on the inquiry, the science and the reasoning.
