About DamaDojo

DamaDojo is a study hall for International draughts — the 10×10 game played across much of the world (also called Polish draughts). It is built for ages 15–18 who want to think seriously about the board: no cartoon mascots, no rush, just the game and the reasoning behind good moves.

How the 10×10 game differs from checkers

  • Men capture both ways. A man may jump forward AND backward — so threats come from every direction, not just ahead.
  • Kings fly. A crowned king slides any distance along an open diagonal and captures from range. One flying king can command the whole board.
  • Capturing is forced. If a jump exists you must take one — and a chain of jumps counts as a single move. Calculating the whole chain is the heart of the game.

The three surfaces

  • Play — the full 10×10 game against a graded study bot (a credible opponent that reasons a few moves ahead, not a perfect solver) or two players on one device.
  • Study — pick a position and the same engine ranks every legal move by its value, so you can read why one move is stronger. This is the review habit: off the clock, no opponent.
  • Coach — five real decisions (the forced jump, the capture chain, the promotion race, the flying king, endgame tempo) you reason through, then reflect on.

How it is built

The board rules run on a pure, deterministic engine (shared with the CrownTales checkers clone, run here at the International 10×10 variant) — every legal move, forced capture, and win is computed the same way every time, and pinned by automated tests. Nothing about the game leaves your device: no account, no sign-in, no data collected. Honest note: DamaDojo builds calculation and king-endgame intuition through practice and review — it is not a graded course and makes no exam or ranking claim.
