Privacy & how it works

What you practise

FeelingForge teaches replication literacy — the single most useful habit for reading psychology. You meet the classic emotion experiments (naming a feeling, distanced self-talk, the facial-feedback smile, nerves-as-excitement, emotional granularity), predict what each found, see the real effect, and then meet the honest part: how well it held up when other labs ran it carefully.

The honest replication grade

A finding can be famous AND fail to replicate. The pen-in-your-teeth smile (Strack 1988) is the textbook case: when seventeen labs ran it carefully in 2016, the effect vanished. That is not a scandal — it is science working. FeelingForge grades each finding robust, mixed, or failed, so you learn that “a study found X” is where the question starts, not where it ends.

A map, not a mood tracker

Anything you try on yourself — naming a feeling, coaching yourself by name, reframing your nerves — is shown once and never saved. There is no diary, no history, no “how do you feel today?” check-in, no microphone, and no camera. The granularity index reflects on how precise your words are, never how many, and it is never stored.

Our privacy promise

FeelingForge Play is free, works offline, and collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no microphone, no camera; nothing you try ever leaves this device. Only which experiments you have explored is saved, only in this browser. It builds literacy about the science of feelings; it is not therapy and does not measure or diagnose anyone. The crisis resources below are always one tap away.
