For grown-ups

GlowPals is about light, and one big surprise: red light and green light make yellow. Paint never does that. Coloured lights add up, so all three together make white. Paint takes light away, so mixing paints makes darker colours like brown.

Your child guesses what two lights make, then slides the glowing gels together on a light table. The table stays dark in both light and dark mode, because coloured light only shows against the dark. Every colour is named in words as well.

Then try it in a dark room with two phones. Each button turns this phone's whole screen one steady colour. Nothing flashes. Make one phone red and one green, hold a hand in front of a white wall, and look at the coloured shadows.

What it never does

  • No accounts, no ads, no tracking — anything kept stays on this device.
  • No streaks, timers to beat, points to chase or leaderboards.
  • No chat, and nothing anyone types is sent anywhere.

We describe what GlowPals is designed to practise. We do not claim it raises test scores.
