About JotPals
A notebook is a grown-up thing children want their own version of. JotPals gives a six-to-eight-year-old a tiny one: write a short note — or, if they'd rather, say it — and keep it. It stays in the notebook, and they can open it, hear it, or change it. The quiet pleasure of "my words, and they're still here."

Keep your own words. Not an essay to grade, not a streak to defend — just a little notebook that holds the notes you wrote.
What it's good for (and what we don't claim)
JotPals is gentle practice in getting a thought into words and keeping it — a first taste of composition and authorship. It is not a lesson or a writing test, and we make no claim it raises anything. It's an honest little notebook.
Safe by design
- On your device. Your notes are saved only on this device — no account, no sign-in, nothing sent anywhere.
- Microphone is opt-in + off by default. Nothing listens until a child taps 🎤 Speak, and typing always works without it. We keep no audio.
- No dark patterns. No streak, no score, no "how many," and nothing to buy or unlock.
- You're in charge. Any note can be put away (with an Undo), and put-away notes wait in a drawer until you throw them away for good. Your words are yours.
- Nothing goes missing. The notebook keeps up to 1,000 notes on this device. When it is nearly full, the notebook page tells you, so you can print or save the notes you want — it never drops an old note on its own.
