For grown-ups
What your child practices
NudgePals teaches emotion regulation as movement. Most apps give children a tips list; NudgePals shows the physics: a feeling sits somewhere on the two-axis map (how pleasant, how much energy), and each calming strategy moves it in a particular direction. Breathing lowers energy; getting a grown-up moves toward warm and calm; waiting lets the tide fall. Seeing the movement makes an abstract idea concrete — and honest.
- Nudge a Sky — a friend feels stormy or heavy. Your child picks a nudge and watches which way the sky moves on the map, with an honest note about what changed.
- Meet the Nudges — Dart the dragonfly and the nudge-friends (breathe, get a grown-up, wait), each honest about what it can and can’t do.
Never “get back to happy”
There is no goal corner. A nudge can leave a child still-unpleasant-but-calmer, and NudgePals says so plainly — the feeling can still be there, and that is okay. Two nudges are always offered because they are always true: wait, and get a grown-up. Tap 🔊 to hear anything read aloud for new readers.
A map, not a mood tracker
This is the promise that makes NudgePals different: it is a map, not a log. Your child’s own feelings are never saved — not on the device, not anywhere. There is no diary, no history, no “how do you feel today?” check-in that gets stored. When the page closes, anything your child explored simply drifts away. Only which games they have played is remembered, in this browser. There is no microphone and no camera.
When a feeling stays big
NudgePals helps a child practise moving a feeling; it is not therapy and does not measure anyone. If a feeling stays big or heavy for a while, the strongest nudge is a real one: talk with a trusted grown-up together. Practising a nudge is a spark; a caring adult is the anvil.
Our privacy promise
NudgePals Play is free, works offline, and collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no microphone, no camera; nothing your child feels or taps ever leaves this device. Only which activities have been played is saved, only in this browser.
