Playing ObbyPals together 🐐
ObbyPals is a fair-course maker for ages 6–8. Your child bridges the pits of an obstacle course, then sends Nims the goat to run it. Nims is a novice — he can only climb up one step — so the course only works if it's fair. Sit alongside them.
1 · Bridge the pits
Tap a column to stack a brick. The dips are pits Nims can fall into but not climb out of. Ask: "Nims can only climb one step — is this pit bridged enough for him to get out?"
2 · Send Nims to test it
Tap Send Nims → 🐐. He runs left to right. If he gets stuck, the spot is marked, and the checklist shows which bridge still needs one more brick. This is testing — the heart of making anything.
3 · Fix it, then share it
Add a brick where he got stuck and send him again. When Nims runs the whole course, it's fair — tap Share your course to save a course code. There's no losing and nothing to score; Start over anytime.
Meet the crew
- Nims the goat — a novice runner who can only climb up one step; he tests your course.
- Stacky — a brick you stack to bridge a pit.
- The pits — the traps you have to make fair before Nims can pass.
What it teaches
- Level design: a good course is one your player can actually complete.
- Fairness: make it fair for the learner — bridge every drop to one step.
- Build → test → fix: send the runner, find the stuck spot, fix it, try again.
We make no claim ObbyPals raises test scores. It runs entirely on your device: no account, no sign-in, nothing leaves your browser. The 3-D view is an optional extra you tap to load — the flat grid works everywhere.
