Meet the Promises
Ribbon ties everyone’s promises together into one family pact. Each pact-friend brings a promise — and your family chooses which ones to keep.
The pact-friends
Ribbon a bright ribbon Ribbon ties everyone’s promises together into one family pact; the tie-it-together act IS Ribbon.
Mittens a curious kitten Mittens brings “we ask before we guess” — always curious about how someone really feels.
Bramwell a gentle hedgehog Bramwell brings “every feeling is okay” — prickly on the outside, soft about big feelings.
Bindle a little mouse Bindle brings “we take a slow breath” — small, calm, and steady when a feeling is big.
All the promises
We ask before we guess how someone feels. A face can fib — the surest way to know a feeling is to ask (MaskPals).
Every feeling is okay — even the stormy ones. There is no “bad” feeling and no goal feeling; all of them are real (SkyPals, inv-2).
When a feeling is big, we take a slow breath together. Breathing lowers the body’s energy — a real regulation move (AffectKit “breathe”).
We know you can feel two things at once. Excited AND nervous; happy AND sad — mixed feelings are normal (BothPals).
When something is too big, we get a grown-up. Some feelings are too big to handle alone — asking for help is strong (AffectKit “get a grown-up”).
We can wait — feelings are like tides. Feelings rise and fall on their own; waiting is always a real choice (AffectKit “wait”).
We name the feeling out loud. Naming a feeling makes it easier to handle (RULER labelling).
We listen when someone shares a feeling. Being heard is part of feeling safe; we listen without fixing or judging.
