About PixelForge Play
How it works
PixelForge turns art into things you do — not just facts to memorize.
- Color Studio — first predict how colors relate, then tap a real 12-color wheel to build palettes that work together: complementary (opposites), analogous (neighbours), triadic (evenly spaced), split-complementary, tetradic, and warm or cool families. The studio checks the actual angles between your colors — no guessing, no scoring by a stranger.
- Masterwork Remix — recreate the way famous artists arranged their pictures: find the small mountain Hokusai's great wave frames, put a focal point on a rule-of-thirds crossing, drop the horizon low for a big dramatic sky, balance a big shape with a small one far away, and mirror a symmetric design.
- Concept kits — 16 short question rounds, from the elements of art and color theory up through design principles, digital tools, typography, art history, and advanced synthesis.
Meet the cast
Eleven characters each stand for one pixel-art idea: Speck (a single pixel), Shade (a colour ramp from dark to light), Grid (the tile grid), Tween (the in-between frame of an animation), Banner (a pose you can read from its outline), Stipple (dithering), Feather (smoothing a jagged edge), Sheen (light and shading), Rim (an outline only where it's needed), Cycle (colour-cycling animation) and The Sprite, where they all come together. You can read their stories and hear them on the cast page.
Our privacy promise
PixelForge Play is free: no accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your level and days active are saved only in this browser. Two things do use the internet: the Like button adds one to an anonymous count (no name, nothing about you), and online play in Together connects two devices with a short room code.
Mistakes are part of it
You never lose anything for a wrong answer or a missed prediction. A wrong turn just points you toward the right idea next time — that's exactly how real artists work, one revision at a time.
