About PropTots

What it is

PropTots makes the phone a prop in your child’s pretend game for ten seconds. Your child leads the game; you hold the phone and tap in a prop when the story needs one. It speaks, offers a little problem worth solving together, then the screen goes dark by itself.

Why it goes dark

Young children learn most in back-and-forth play with the people they love. The auto-dark keeps the screen from becoming the game — a minute of screen, a lot of play.

What it is not

It is not a learning game to leave your child alone with, and there are no scores, stars, or streaks. At the end you tap what you noticed — a noticing, never a rating.

Privacy

Everything happens on this device. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. Nothing you choose or type is saved or sent anywhere — when you leave the page, it is gone, unless you printed your card.
