Teach the Coaches
Four of SplitForge’s coaches are still learning their move. When you teach them, YOU learn it best — catch what they get wrong, then answer their questions.
Teach Pace the Penguin
In a minute you'll be the teacher. Get ready to teach Pace the Penguin: the unit rate.
A unit rate shares a total over one unit: time ÷ (distance ÷ 100) = time per 100 m.
Teach Split the Stopwatch
In a minute you'll be the teacher. Get ready to teach Split the Stopwatch: subtracting clock times.
To subtract clock times, line up minutes and seconds. If the top seconds are too small, borrow 1 minute = 60 seconds.
Teach Cut the Standard-Setter
In a minute you'll be the teacher. Get ready to teach Cut the Standard-Setter: an inequality.
You qualify when your time ≤ the cut. Over the cut by 2 seconds means the gap to chase is 2 seconds.
Teach Convert the Otter
In a minute you'll be the teacher. Get ready to teach Convert the Otter: converting units before comparing.
Convert to the same unit before you compare: 1 yard = 0.9144 m, so 100 yards ≈ 91.4 m.
