For grown-ups
SprintPals gives a 6–8-year-old one calm, repeatable study loop: they choose a few tiny things to do, do an honest sprint, say each one back in their own words, and then see the free time they earned. The list has a bottom — nothing scrolls forever, and stopping early costs nothing.
What it counts (and what it doesn’t)
- Ideas said back, not minutes spent. An item only counts once your child says it back in their own words — a quick self-check, never a test. The app never grades the words.
- The time you earned. When something takes less than its usual time, the difference is shown as free time for today — a little arithmetic your child can tap and see. It’s just for today; it’s never a streak or a score, and it’s never compared to anyone.
- Stopping is allowed. “I’m done for today” is always one tap away and loses nothing. Doing your few things and stopping when you’re done is the whole idea.
Play alongside
Let your child pick their own few things — the choosing is part of it. When they say an idea back, just listen; you don’t need to correct the words. Then enjoy the earned time together.
