About SwapTots
SwapTots is the very first swap game, for ages 3–5, set in a sunny tide pool near little Gullwick. A child gives a friend the shell they want and gets a shell they love. It is the kind, fair heart of trading — the part many games leave out.
Kind, never a loss
There is no score to chase, no clock, and no way to lose. A friend can always say “no thank you” kindly — and tell you the shell they were hoping for — so a wrong pick is just a chance to listen. The happy ending is always the same: everyone gets a shell they love.
Meet the tide-pool friends
- Pebble — the little hermit crab who loves to swap — lines up to trade shells and shows you how a happy give-and-get works
- Sandy — a friendly seal who is always hoping for one special shell — give the shell Sandy wants and Sandy swaps happily
- Marina — a gentle dolphin who says “no thank you” kindly — and tells you the shell she DOES want, so you can listen and try again
- Coby — a little fish who waits his turn — he shows you to swap with one friend at a time
Think it over together
After a few swaps, you might talk about this: the friend was happiest when they got the shell they wanted. Listening for what a friend wants — and giving it — is the little idea SwapTots is really about.
