TileTales — how it works
TileTales teaches dominoes as number sense. You read the pips at a glance (subitizing), match the open ends, and add the two open ends toward a multiple of five to score — the classic All-Fives game. A double laid crosswise counts both its pips, which is the rule most players miss.
Ways to play
- Play the Bot — a full game of Draw dominoes against a friendly, beatable opponent (it plays like a thoughtful kid, not a perfect machine).
- Make Fives — quick puzzles where exactly one tile scores a five. Every puzzle is checked by the game engine, so the answer is always correct.
- Learn to Play — three short steps if you are new to dominoes.
- Concepts — multiple-choice practice on the set, the pips, and tile values.
- Pass-and-Play — two players share one device and take turns, with a curtain so you can hide your tiles between turns.
- Play a Friend — share a short room code and play someone on another device.
Privacy
TileTales runs entirely in your browser. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. Your progress (levels and best scores) is saved only on this device and never leaves it. Multiplayer rooms have no chat and no names you type — a room is a short code shared between two devices for one game, and it disappears when you finish. Nothing personal is collected.
