In Block dominoes you race to shed every tile; if the game "blocks" (nobody can play), the player with the FEWEST pips left wins.
🗣️ Coach says
Block is the classic no-drawing game. You want to get rid of all your tiles. If everyone gets stuck, the game blocks — then you each add up the pips still in your hand, and the LOWEST total wins. So it is always smart to play your heaviest tiles early.

Empty your hand to win. If it blocks, LOWEST pip-total in hand wins — so dump heavy tiles first.

A single game can block after only a few plays if the open ends are numbers no one holds — a fast, math-heavy finish.
✅ Quick check: The game blocks. You hold 6|5 and 2|0; your rival holds 3|1 and 1|0. Who wins?
Say your answer out loud first — then reveal.
Your rival — 3+1+1+0 = 5 beats your 6+5+2+0 = 13.
When blocked, the lowest total of pips remaining in hand wins.
