Full-Game Strategy
📋 What it is
A strong game weaves it all together: shed heavy tiles, hit multiples of 5, control the open ends, and manage your hand to the end.
🗣️ Coach says
This is the capstone. A skilled player tracks the open-end total for scoring, dumps heavy tiles early against a possible block, steers the ends to jam rivals, and remembers which numbers are gone. No single trick wins — synthesis does: pick the play that scores AND keeps you flexible.
🧠 Memory hook
Chain it: SCORE the fives → SHED the heavy tiles → CONTROL the ends → TRACK what’s gone. Then choose.
😂 Giggle
What's a domino's favorite kind of math?
Anything that ends in a five!
😲 Whoa!
Over many games, the same players win — proof that dominoes rewards arithmetic and planning far more than luck.
✅ Quick check: You can score 5 now by opening a number your rival loves, or score 5 by keeping them jammed. Which is stronger?
Say your answer out loud first — then reveal.
Keep them jammed — same points now, but you also deny them their next turn.
Synthesis weighs the score AND the position; equal points plus a block is the better play.
🧪 Try it! (2 minutes)
Play one full game (or narrate one) saying your reason for each move: score, shed, control, or track.
