Playing TileTots together 🔤

TileTots is a first spelling game for ages 3–5. The word is always shown — the child isn't asked to spell from memory, but to match the letters they see, one at a time, left to right. It's the very first step from knowing a word to building it.

1 · See the picture, hear the word

Each round shows a big picture and the word. Tap the picture, or tap 🔊 Hear the word, to hear it aloud. No reading is required — the picture and the sound carry the meaning.

2 · Tap the letters in order

The word appears as faint ghost letters in the slots, and the next one to fill glows. Your child finds that letter in the tiles and taps it. There's one extra letter to ignore, and if a wrong tile is tapped, nothing bad happens — just look at the word and try again.

3 · Build it side by side

This works beautifully as a lap game: say the word together, point at the next ghost letter, and let your child find and tap it. There's no timer, no score, and nothing to lose — just friendly little words to build, one at a time.
