Being able to turn a shape in your head is one of the strongest predictors of doing well in maths and science — and it gets better with practice. Here you spot which block shape is the same one just turned (not flipped like a mirror), and build shapes one flat layer at a time until they match the goal.

Meet the cast — the characters who teach this
-
Turnwick Embodies rotation - turns a voxel shape through space so it lands in a new pose but stays the SAME shape (turn it, don't change it) -
Twinn Embodies the mirror image (chirality) - the flipped look-alike that no rotation can ever match, like your left hand and your right (a flip is not a turn) -
Roundle Embodies the rotation orbit - keeps all 24 turns of one shape as a single family; two shapes are the same if some turn lands one exactly onto the other -
Layla Embodies layers (slices) - builds a 3-D shape one flat horizontal layer at a time, floor to roof, so a tall build is never scary -
Cubbin Embodies the voxel - the single unit cube placed at exactly one spot; every giant build is just single cubes, each in its right place -
Fitwell Embodies the match check - compares a build to the goal cube-for-cube and says 'matches' only when every block lands exactly (looks-close and matches are two different words)
