For grown-ups
WorthQuest is for a teenager deciding whether the math they are in is worth anything to them. In Why, they pick an interest and a unit, get a question (never a lecture), and write in their own words one place the unit shows up in their thing. In Where, they map their next courses and look up two real programs. In Who, they print a one-page brochure for you, with three openers for the car.
The design follows the utility-value studies (Harackiewicz and colleagues), where the effect came from teens generating the connections themselves and from parent conversations — so WorthQuest never writes the connection for them. Everything they type stays on their device.
What it never does
- No accounts, no ads, no tracking — anything kept stays on this device.
- No streaks, timers to beat, points to chase or leaderboards.
- No chat, and nothing anyone types is sent anywhere.
