For grown-ups

Teens sign more contracts than they think: a phone plan, an app’s terms, a first lease. ClauseDojo treats a contract as a list of clauses, and reading one as a skill.

For each clause the reader asks two questions: who does this favour, and what does it let the other party do? They learn to spot the auto-renewal, the arbitration or class-action waiver, the early-termination fee and the data and liability clauses. They also learn which fair clauses do not deserve a flag. In the contract console they read a clause and predict what it permits and who it favours, then see the reading; the Contract lab lets them mark up a whole synthetic lease, phone plan or terms of service.

The contracts are synthetic, written in 2026 for practice. Rules differ by place and change over time. This is not legal advice.

What it never does

  • No ads and nothing to buy (see the privacy page).
  • No account needed: what is practised stays in this browser, on this device.
  • No streaks, timers to beat, points to chase or leaderboards.
  • No chat, and nothing anyone types is sent anywhere.

We describe what ClauseDojo is designed to practise (ages 15–18). We do not claim it raises test scores.
