What you practise
EbbForge teaches affect dynamics — the way researchers describe how feelings move over time rather than what a feeling is at one instant. You watch a feeling's curve: how long it lasts (duration), how much it carries into the next moment (inertia), how one event can transition it, and how sleep resets it. The most useful thing it makes concrete is that a peak is the part that does not last.
A deterministic model, never a prediction about you
The scenarios are fixed story data, and the model runs the same way every time — it is never fit to your feelings. The curves show a general pattern of how affect behaves, not a forecast of how YOU will feel. "It will pass" is a description of the model, not a promise about a hard time — and if a feeling keeps returning at full height, that is a pattern to take to someone, not a tide to wait out alone.
A map, not a mood tracker
You enter nothing about how you feel; there is no diary, no history, no check-in, no microphone, and no camera. EbbForge is about how feelings move, not a record of yours.
