HollowPals

Two villages, two ponds, and a Moonstone hidden on each side. You can’t see their pieces — so watch how they move!

How to play

  • 🙈 Hide. Put your eight animals and your Moonstone in your two rows. Nobody else sees where.
  • 🐾 Move. Take turns moving one piece one square. The hares can run far in a straight line.
  • 🤝 Meet. When two pieces meet, both turn over. The smaller one goes home to nap.
  • 🌙 Find. Reach the other village’s Moonstone to win.

In this game, hiding and pretending are allowed — because everyone playing agreed to it. It’s part of the game, not a trick on a friend.

Who does what in Hollowmere

  • the Moonstone never moves. Find the other village’s Moonstone to win.
  • Ursa is the biggest. She tags anyone home — except Puck, if he reaches her first.
  • Lupa is next biggest. Only Ursa can tag her home.
  • Burdock is the only one who can clear a bramble.
  • Skipwell & Hopwell can run many squares in a straight line — so moving far gives them away.
  • Puck is the smallest — but if he reaches Ursa first, he tickles her home.
  • Briar never moves. Anyone who bumps her goes home — except Burdock.

Mosswick the owl watches over both villages. She asks: which of their pieces hasn’t moved yet? What could it be?
