How the scanner works

  1. Add a board. Snap a photo, paste a screenshot, or drop an image cropped to the squares.
  2. ScanForge reads it — on your device, using the chess pieces it knows. The picture never leaves this device.
  3. Check it. Whose move is it? Is it the right way up? Is every piece right? Tap a square to fix anything.
  4. Study & keep. Play the position out, then save it to your scans to come back to.
