WorldForge
A maze-and-course builder for ages 9–14: tap to lay walls and floor, send Beam the woodpecker to fly your maze (he finds the path, or tells you there isn’t one), then publish a solvable course as a code a friend can play. Flat or 3-D. On-device; nothing leaves your device.
#4338ca Distributed-narrative cast
Meet the cast
WorldForge has a small crew who each embody one part of building a world (their illustrated storybooks are on the way): Mortar the beaver lays the walls and floor of an empty world, Latch the raccoon carries the key that opens its one matching gate, Guff the mole is the switch that opens a gate when you press the button, Beam the woodpecker flies your finished maze to find out whether there is really a path to the flag, and Holt the hermit crab packs the whole world into a course code you can keep and share.
Beam
(Guide) the woodpecker who flies your finished maze and finds the path — or tells you there isn’t one

Mortar
The builder — a world starts empty; lay walls and floor to shape the maze
Read chapter →
Latch
The key and its lock — a locked gate opens only for its matching key, so you fetch the key first
Read chapter →
Guff
The switch and gate — press the button and the matching gate opens; the world reacts to what you do
Read chapter →
Holt
The cartridge — pack your finished world into a course code you keep and share; a world is a file, never a server
