BiasForge

Your brain plays tricks. Run the experiments and catch them.

Scientists have found dozens of ways your fast brain jumps to the wrong answer — and gave each one a name. In BiasForge you run those experiments on yourself: guess a number after seeing a random one, choose between a rescue plan "that saves 200" and the same plan "where 400 die", meet the Linda problem. Then the reveal names the trap, tells you how sure scientists actually are about it, and shows Whim (your fast side) fall for it while Muse (your slow side) catches it. Once you can NAME a bias, you can beat it. Then estimate first in NumberSense and reason from evidence in InferForge.

How it works

  1. Run the experiment. A short, classic judgment test — you predict or you choose.
  2. Bet how sure you are. On the guessing ones, say "pretty sure" or "just a hunch" — honestly.
  3. See the trap. The reveal names the bias, so you carry the word away.
  4. Check the science-meter. How sure are scientists — solid, still arguing, or didn't hold up?

No timer, no streak, no score to chase. Your best run is just for you and stays on this device.
