A commonplace book is where you keep the ideas that stay with you. GemForge gives you a starter shelf of short, true ideas — each with where it comes from — and one rule: you cannot keep a gem just by tapping it. To keep it, you say it in your own words. Then your gems connect to each other, and come back on another day so you actually remember them. That is the opposite of a feed you scroll and forget.

How it works

  1. Read a gem. A short idea plus where it comes from — a starter set to begin with.
  2. Say it your way. Type the idea in your own words. That is how you keep it — not by tapping.
  3. Connect it. Say why two of your gems belong together — a "because" link.
  4. It comes back. Your gems return another day so you remember them — no streak, nothing due.
