Segwyn Segment & blend (mentor) — slides a word apart into its sounds and back together

Kutenganisha na kuunganisha sauti: unatenganisha neno kwa sauti zake, kisha unaziunganisha tena (/s/–/o/–/l/ → “sun”).

Digby Digraphs — fuses two letters into ONE sound (the 'one-breath' trick)

Herufi-mbili: herufi mbili zinazotoa sauti MOJA (sh, ch, th). Katika Kiswahili tayari unatumia “ch” na “sh”.

Prefa Prefixes — clips a meaning-unit onto the FRONT of a word

    Mzizi wa Kilatini “port” uko katika “transport” — kubeba.

Fixby Suffixes — tacks a meaning-unit onto the END and guards the spelling-change rule
